Last night we had another blizzard but the sun is out and the skies are blue today. I’m really glad too because we’re waiting for a shipment of dog food to arrive and it definitely won’t be arriving in a snow storm!! Also, Toby broke his chain rope last night (the temperatures up here make things a lot less durable than normal) so I have to trek out to the store and get a new one for him. I’m just glad that he didn’t run off somewhere after he broke it. I would have been mortified if he’d gotten lost or hurt. So that’s on my “to do” list for the day.
Later that same day….
I got to the store and picked up the new dog chain. It’s a bit longer than the last one and so far Toby seems to really be enjoying his extra 5 feet of freedom. What a funny little dog. He even managed to get himself tangled within the first 10 minutes!
I’ve been writing a lot of my old journal entries from online into my real life journal for the past couple of days because we’re low on black ink. It’s pretty slow going but it’s kind of nice because then I’m able to reflect on the entries more than if I’m just printing off whole pages of entries, cutting and pasting them.
I’m also trying to figure out which of my many projects to try and tackle today. There are so many little things that need to be taken care of that are actually big projects… like cleaning up the stuff that’s on top of the fridge…
Even later that same day….
I ended up cleaning off a little nightstand that we have out in the living room/kitchen area. It was a bit of a job but I got it done and now I’ve set up a bunch of candles on it along with my Brighid statue that I made. I also started my sunny Brighid soup that I like to make at this time of the year. Tomorrow I plan on doing some cleaning unless I get called in to sub for the art teacher who is sick. Either way, I’ll be doing Imbolc-ish type of stuff whether it be cleaning or art. I also planted some tomato seeds that were in one of the tomatoes I bought the other day… don’t know if they’re fruit bearing or sterile but I figured I’d try.
