Back in the arctic and still alive

So I know some of you are wondering where on Earth I've been, I am back in the arctic. B has been gone on a field trip with the basketball team since Friday so I've been on my own at home. Naturally my body decided that this would be a good time to get sick. Go figure. So I have a sore throat... same damn thing I seem to get over and over every year. I think I've got a pretty good handle on this one though... of course with B being gone Friday and Monday that means I get to be his substitute at school! Good because I get some extra cash, bad because I'm fighting this sore throat.

I plan on posting a "what I did in Mexico" thing as soon as I get a chance but with the teaching and stuff I haven't really had a chance... that and the fact that dial-up still sucks just as much as it did before.

In other news, Toby survived his first round trip flight from the arctic. He was such a great little guy! He didn't make a sound the whole trip and he didn't soil his cage either way! I was so proud of him. He had to fly down on a separate plan from us for part of the trip because the plane we were on was over packed with luggage. *sigh* That's what happens when a blizzard keeps them from landing in a community. So he showed up a few minutes after us and we saw him looking around all excited when they opened the cargo door. What a good little dog. He also got his first "car ride", which was actually a van ride and he was VERY well behaved for that too. I have to say that I'm REALLY impressed with him. He even lifted his leg for the very first time yesterday to pee!! We've also been letting him out of his kennel more while we're home and he's getting better behaved everyday. I'm so proud of my little puppy! The one thing that we're really having trouble getting him out of is using Rusty as a chew toy! Though even that is getting a bit better.

So yeah... lots of stuff to update you all on but just had a few minutes to pop on and let everyone know what's up these days.
