Going meatless

It's been a week since I decided to switch to a vegetarian diet (again). So far it's going quite well for me. I can't really explain why I decided to revisit vegetarianism, though I think it's a combination of a few things. I'm still eating dairy and eggs but meat products are gone.

I've been hesitant to mention it to people. I guess there's a part of me that doesn't want to deal with any negative reations that I might get. Jboy was super supportive when I told him. He was a little worried at first that I was asking him to give up meat too but once I clarified that it was just a personal choice, he was totally on board and is even talking to people about how we've both given up meat! hehe Very cool.

I'm finding that Toronto is a very easy to place to be a vegetarian. There are just SO many choices for eating out and buying groceries that cater to all manner of diets that I don't really have to worry too much about it. Most of the restaurants offer a few veggie options on their menu no matter what their regular fare may be. It's really great.

I have to admit, I'm not finding it to be a difficult change this time around. I hope it stays that way.
TO is super easy for vegetarians. someday, I will make it to the vegetarian food fair (or whatever it's called).
This reply is just full of LOL!!!

More meat for you works for me! ;)

On an unrelated note...when do you usually play EVE? I've only popped on a bit to update skillz myself but might be able to line something up for EVE chatty goodness if nothing else.
Cool! How are you finding WAR? I'm trying to resist it for now! Playing too many as it is!
I have never heard of this vegetarian food fair (or whatever it's called *wink*). I already find that I'm developing a list of "good places to eat veggie" though! So much choice! I love it!
You are worried about negative reactions to vegetarianism? Just kick the people! :p Veggie is frequently my default, so I'm all for it. I'm glad you aren't giving up cheese though - I'd hate to see you struggle with that knowing how much you LOVE the cheese. :p
I think it started with my Mom being skeptical about it. She's worried that I won't get enough protein/vitamins/minerals. I know she's concerned because I've never really been that great at maintaining proper nutrition but it certainly upset me that she wasn't more supportive.

Yeah, I think giving up cheese wouldn't work for me. I'm not really missing the meats all that much and there are really great substitutes but I definitely do love my cheese!! hehehe
