Gray Days

I'm tired and feeling blah today. I've gained back the five pounds that I lost recently and it has me feeling pretty bummed out. I'm still adding more and more healthy foods into my diet but I'm craving the salty snacks just as much as ever. I even bought myself some 8 pound weights so that I can do a little exercise at work or home and have used them a few times in between calls or while puttering around the house.

Jud and I are planning on waking up earlier in the mornings to go for walks together - get our day off to a good start - but we've only managed to drag our sleepy butts out of bed once this week. Staying in bed together and cuddling is really nice too mind you! I hope that I'm not feeling so run down next week and am able to get up and do the walking. We live really close to the park and it's really nice to walk there early in the morning.

Tomorrow we have a bunch of friends coming over for dinner and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm excited about picking out something to cook for everyone. Strangely, I'm also looking forward to getting the house all tidied up. It's been a while since I've had the chance to entertain more than a couple of people and I kind of miss it. It won't be anything super fancy but I think it will be pretty fun.

I'm ready for the warm, sunny weather now. We had a couple of nice days but in comparison to all the chilly, grayness, it just doesn't seem to be enough.
