The list

The weekend is already half over and I haven't done nearly as much as I'd hoped to. I supposed it didn't help much that I spent most of Saturday in bed. I was just so exhausted from the past two weeks. This training class that I'm in at work is just draining the life right out of me. The main problem being that I'm working full time days and still need to get to class and do my homework for my summer course. Not to mention that I'm not used to working 8 hour days in the first place. That's not the only problem I'm having though. I'm also getting really frustrated because there are a few people in the class that just aren't listening to the trainer and he ends up having to repeat himself several times. Now I will say that part of this is due to the fact that he doesn't always ensure that everyone is at the same spot and he's not one of the best trainers I've ever had as far as explaining things goes. I mean, half the time I'm confused and I've been working with some of these systems for over three years now! Nevermind the people who've never worked with any of them! So that's been the past two weeks of my life and I've got another three days to go... at least. None of the new reps feel comfortable enough to go on the phones yet and they probably won't feel any better by Wednesday seeing as the trainer is now rushing through things because we're so far behind. Go figure this means we're rushing through the more complex things. So yeah... this all resulted in much sleeping yesterday. Probably too much sleeping, but I'm feeling much better today. Woke up nice and early too. Now if the temperature outside would just warm up a bit more!

I made a list of all the little things I want to get done in an attempt to de-clutter my life and get it organized. I'm always talking about how I need to do cleaning every weekend and I know that I'm always going to be saying that unless I get rid of some of the stuff that's causing the clutter and get the remaining items organized. I've already gone through my piles and piles of CD cases and thrown most of them in the garbage. They've been in a box for well over a year now and I figure if I haven't needed them yet I'm probably not going to be needing them any time soon. So I'm planning on going through all my boxes and seeing what I can get rid of. I have some old school text books that I was hoping to read but I know that it's not going to happen since I've had them in the box for about 5 years (maybe more). The list I made breaks the big chores down into smaller sections so that it's not only more manageable but I feel a sense of accomplishment by being able to check each item off as I complete it. So instead of writing down "clean room" I've put all the little tasks within my room that need to be done like "clean desk", "vacuum floor" etc etc. I've already managed to check a few of them off but I still have a lot to go. One important one that I have to do is create a budget for myself. I've started by cutting up my Radioshack and Sony cards. I don't have enough control to not use them, so I've destroyed them. So I only have one credit card left.

I've also written down a whole list of goals. Little short term things that I want to accomplish. I want to always keep them in sight or on me somewhere, like in my purse, to keep me focused. Some of them are really easy and a few of them will take a bit more work but all of them are meant to make my life and health better. I'm hoping that all these things help. It's just a matter of getting myself into the habit of doing them and sticking to it. I'm pretty sure I'll see a lot of good change as long as I stick to it. I've gotten into so many bad habits and breaking them won't be easy, but I'm sure it will really pay off and I'll feel much better about myself once I do break them.
