No (sham)Poo! Day 1

So, I took the plunge today and tried the baking soda and apple cider vinegar hair wash/rinse. I have to admit that I'm rather pleased with the results of this first try. My hair feels clean and soft and it didn't require any chemicals to get it that way.

I was getting annoyed at how completely stripped of natural oils the commercial shampoos were leaving my hair feeling, only to have it look like a pile of oil by mid-afternoon the next day. I'd tried a few "natural" products from the health product stores but they've been hit or miss, so I figured I had nothing to lose by trying the baking soda and vinegar wash.

I'm definitely going to try it again and I'm interested to see how my hair adjusts to it. It will be cool if I get to the point where it only needs to be washed once or twice a week.
keep in mind that it'll likely take about a month of fiddling before you and your scalp settle into an acceptable-for-you groove. persistence!!

also, yay for stickin' it to the man! we don't need no stinking shampoo!n ;)
I've heard that it does take some time to get adjusted to it but I figure I would have been shampooing my hair at least every other day anyway. :)

Day 2 and my hair still looks acceptably clean! Woot!~
