Art snag

I got home, hoping to get started on the painting I'm doing for my co-worker only to find out that I don't have a piece of board/wood large enough to staple it to! Now I COULD run up to the home hardware and see if I can get something there but I'm pretty sure that they're closed at 6pm on Monday... not to mention I'm feeling really lazy right now.

I sketched the composition out at work and coloured it in with pencil crayons. It looked rather nice but nothing compared to what I'm hoping the actual painting will look like. It was fun doing the sketch though. I usually just go straight to canvas/paper without sketching it out but this time I wanted to try the colours and composition out before committing it to paint. I'm glad that I did. It gave me a better idea of what I can expect from the painting and what the composition will look like on paper instead of just in my head.

I'm debating getting started on the painting despite not having a board for it. I've done a fair amount of watercolour without it being taped/stapled down and they've all turned out fine. Besides, if it gets messed up, I have 2 more sheets of paper!

Can you post a picture of it when its done? I'd like to see it.
Will do. I'll post the one I just finished a couple of days ago when I have the chance too. :)
